Why take this training?
Working in medium and high-voltage environments requires a high level of competence, planning, awareness and responsibility not only for your own safety but also for compliance with legislation and standards. Your work may involve demanding disconnection or connection tasks, proximity to high-voltage live parts and other environments where mistakes may lead to serious injuries, damaged equipment and disrupt normal operations. Disruptions to operations might not only affect your bottom line, but could also disrupt hundreds or thousands of other people working and living nearby.
This training is in accordance with the European EN 50110 standard and the Finnish SFS 6002:2025 standard. It also supports the employer’s obligation under Finnish occupational safety to provide instruction and guidance to people working in substations and on electrical networks.
